SCC Cosplay Performance Competition Sign Ups Open February 1st, 2025

Hiya Cosplayers!

SARATOGA COMIC CON UPDATE!

Returning to Saratoga Comic Con this Spring is the COSPLAY PERFORMANCE COMPETITION! This is a separate segment from our regular cosplay competition because the performance community here is so large, so talented and needed more stage time (and a more detailed judging process!)

The Performance and Cosplay Competitions take place May 3rd, 2025 at Saratoga Comic Con at the Saratoga City Center in Saratoga Springs, NY. Did we say Saratoga enough? lol.

The 2025 Performance Competition is organized by our award winning and extra talented Performance Coordinator Venus Nebulous and will be hosted by our extra fun cosplay team member, Sydstar Cosplays! I’m a huge fan of them both and they’ve put together a good show. Before sign ups go out – let’s review the details:

⁃ ALL PERFORMANCES TO BE KEPT UNDER 4 MINUTES AND MUST BE APPROVED BEFORE. Sign up online and receive a confirmation by e-mail. Confirmations will be sent out before April 15th, 2025. This is to ensure audio is appropriate for a family friendly show. OUR STAGE IS built like a fashion runway and is 4 feet wide, please keep this in mind for performances! Your performance will be judged live by experienced cosplayers and performers.

So, to break it down again real easy:

• FOUR MINUTE TIME LIMIT! WOOHOO!
• THIS IS AGES 16+ – SO KEEP IT PG – PG 13. FAMILY FRIENDLY SHOW OK
• FASHION RUNWAY STAGE. LONG AND FOUR FEET WIDE! UTILIZE THIS
• As far as confirmations go, I know you need time to rehearse. We will approve as many as we can fit in our HOUR! And we will approve you FAST. April 15th is the deadline, but as soon as your audio is reviewed we will send out a confirmation to give you the time you need. (So apply as soon as possible! We fill up and you need that rehearsal time)

COME BACK HERE ON FEBRUARY 1ST, 2025 at NOON EST FOR THE SIGN UP LINK. WE WILL SPAM IT ON INSTAGRAM, HERE, DISCORD, EVERYWHERE SO THE COMPETITION WILL FILL FAST and also so we make sure everyone sees the sign up link.
